Wet Speed (2001) is a mix of images based on recent scientific insights challanging the belief in the terrestrial origin of the human species. Influenced by Elaine Morgan's book The Aquatic Ape, Wet Speed maps the acceleration of race memory or "aquatic memory", programmed into our bodies since the evolutionary shock of the middle passage.

Wet Speed was screened on 30.03.01as part of the Hyperdub/Speedtribe event at London's Institute of Contemporary Art.
